Ta-dah!...

Kia ora koutou

...Don't you just love a surprise?  I do :)  'Surprise' was the inspiration for this weeks Monday Card Class - 'Cards with a surprise'.

Open the card - Ta-dah!....
....A lovely bunch of flowers :)

I learnt how to make the inside of this card from a top 25 Demonstrator and she is also the lovely leading lady of Paper Angels - Liz Collett.  I can't remember who she learnt the technique from.  It is definitely the type of card that blows you away when you open it, just wonderful! And, the Monday Card Class ladies thought so too.

I love a surprise but I really love a challenge...Linda challenged us (loyal Friday cropper's) to make a card, it could be for any occasion, the cards will be judged by her husband Martin - the winning card will win a Kaisercraft Paper Pack.  I designed a card that would appeal to Martin (hopefully - fingers crossed), had a lot of fun creating this card, if it's not chosen - it's still a winner in my eyes :)

Oh Boy....

Kia ora koutou

BOY, n:  1.  Noise with dirt on it....My two youngest boy's fit this description to a T, lol.

.....One of the lovely ladies in my Monday Madness Card Class, asked if we could do 'boy cards', hence the  title.  I love a challenge, and designed two boy cards for my card class tomorrow - pictures are near the end of this post :)

....My last post 'Frantic February and Finicky Frocks' has carried on true to form - I have been busy with Census work, made a couple more variations of the origami dress (finicky frock) cards and last Monday Madness class we worked on Finicky Flowers (miniature origami roses).  Once again, I am very proud of the ladies, they all had a go at making miniature origami roses - sterling effort ladies!  The finished product was absolutely stunning, well worth the effort.

Origami Rose Cards

This card was inspired by a fabulous card I spotted on Pinterest designed by Doris Kroh. I made a few changes, very happy with the results.  I used Stampin' Up!'s large label punch to give the table a 'Queen Anne' design look and with the cut-out, I re-inserted it through the top-side of the label punch to make the bottom look the same as the top - flipped it over, 'voile' a wonderful picture frame :)
You could go to town embellishing the table top - trinkets, tiny photo frame, mirror, flowers, etc...I love it!!!
Stamp - Petite Pairs
Ink - Basic Black
Card - Whisper White, Garden Green, Kaisercraft: Base Coat - Weathered (both sides), Kaisercraft: Miss Match - Odd, Vellum, Red/pink Printer Copy Paper
Accessories - Hand-made Miniature Origami Roses, Bird Builder Punch, Large Label Punch, Oval Punch, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Rhinestones, Dimensionals.

Cottage Window

A simple beautiful card.  The window frame die used on this card - OMG! Endless possibilities of fabulous creativeness, love it!!!
Card - Whisper White, Garden Green, Kaisercraft:  Base Coat - Weatherboard, Kaisercraft:  Marigold - Citrus, Red/pink Printer Copy Paper
Accessories - Hand-made Miniature Origami Roses, Bird Builder Punch, Spellbinders Shapeabilities Die D-Lites:  Window Two

First sample card, didn't make the cut - not enough background paper and silver brads for the class.

A Couple More Finicky Frocks

Oh Boy

....Tomorrow's Monday Madness Class is in for some boyish fun!  Two cards - my goal was to create a card for a younger boy and one for an older boy - I think (hope) it was achieved, as my mum would say...'The proof is in the pudding'.

Monster Truck

I designed this card for my last baby - Bronson, my monster truck loving boy, he turned four years old on Friday.  Absolutely enjoyed making this because I knew how much he would love having a 'monster truck' card, and the look on his face when he received it was priceless, reinforces my love of card-making :)
