Tying The Knot...

Kia ora koutou

....Wow, where to begin?  I have been super-dooper busy over the past month, nek minnit  (no, it's not a spelling mistake - this is how you say it these days, lol) ...it's the end of September!!  Which means, that 'Occasion in October' is only three weeks away...Oh My Gosh!!!

Monday Card Class

Over four weeks using various Fab Scrap papers (stunning 12" x 12" designer papers from South Africa), we made a series of cards and a card gift box to complete a lovely boxed card gift set.  Oh, and in-between those weeks we also made a whimsical Fathers Day/man card - every time I look at this card, it brings a smile to me face :)  We used Flippen' Men - Gardener, and a pre-cut oval window frame card.

Tying The Knot

Ryan and I are 'tying the knot' (getting married - for those of you that have no idea what I'm on about) in three weeks, 19th October to be exact, very excited O_O. So, me being creative and all, I wanted to create wedding invitations that reflected my witty, arty fartyness lol and Ryan had to like it as well :)

Wedding Invitation

Funny story - I forgot to print our wedding date, had to hand write the date, lucky there was a blank heart.

As you open the card, the ribbon connecting our hearts pulls the knot tight...get it? Pretty clever aye?!  :)
On the back of the invite is another heart with our contact details to R.S.V.P.

Because of our impending wedding, I have taken a few weeks off from teaching Monday Card Class to focus on wedding stuff - like making my wedding dress, which I am starting on tomorrow lol and a couple of challenges for our Glentui Camp - a wonderful weekend of creating/scrapbooking/cardmaking/crafting with a group of friends at the picturesque Glentui.  Unbeknownst to the lovely organisers Brigid and Maria, the camp so happens to fall on the weekend before my wedding - what perfect timing for a certain somebody's 'Hen Party'!

Stampin' Up Workshop

You may be thinking you have seen this card before, you are right.  I love this design so much, I used it again with the new In Color - Pistachio Pudding and one of my favourite stamp sets Summer Silhouettes.

This card was inspired by the Shop Around wheel (the images remind me of 'Mr Selfridge' television series I so enjoyed) and a gate-fold card in Stampin' Up's! 2013 - 2014 Annual Catalogue - it is jam packed full of beautiful, creative, inspirational crafting ideas.
Stamps - Shop Around (Jumbo Wheel), Gorgeous Grunge, Remember This and That Rotary Stamp, Delightful Dozen.
Ink - Strawberry Slush, Basic Black
Card - Whisper White, Strawberry Slush, Silver Glimmer Paper
Accessories - Chalk Talk Framelits, Hung Up Cute Clips, Epic Day This and That Designer Washi Tape, Chevron Embossing Folder, 1" Square Punch (I used this to make the chevrons - pre Chevron Punch).

A Little Thankyou

Stamps - Backyard Basics
Inks - Pistachio Pudding, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black
Card - Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White
Accessories - Organza Ribbon, Labels Collection Framelits, Circles Collection Framelits.

Not the best photo, sorry.
